Career Services include a wide range of strategies and activities, including assessment, decision-making, professional development planning and career pathing. Research has shown that the vast majority of the working public is "underemployed" - relatively dissatisfied with their present work but not sure what they should or could do about it. The impact of this on the person and the organization is too great to be measured. The company loses the potential contribution employees would make in their "right" positions and employees experience little true satisfaction in their work. This is hardly a recipe for job satisfaction and productivity! To address these concerns, LMA provides Career Services through EAP to support employees in their personal and professional growth. We like to call this helping companies "take advantage" of employees, creating the opportunity for employees to contribute at their highest possible level. Assessment: Through the use of consultation, guided review and formal assessments, we help identify the significant factors that an employee should consider in career development. Career Investigation: Through guided consultation, we'll turn data into action steps, identifying and considering alternatives to assure accurate and productive decisions. Decision-Making: Development and execution of specific action steps to help employees move ahead in career and life. |
